Add a Gaussian splat when you process a drone survey. Aeroyantra trains it from the same photos, so there is no extra flight or hardware, and you view it in the browser on the same map as your orthomosaic, terrain and 3D model. Standard RGB processing with a splat is 1.5x credits, at $2.50 per credit.
A Gaussian splat is a photoreal 3D capture of your site. Aeroyantra trains it from the same drone photos as the photogrammetry job, so it needs no extra flight or hardware.
A textured 3D model drapes the photos over a mesh of triangles. A splat instead builds the scene from a large number of small, soft, coloured 3D Gaussians, which lets it show what textured meshes struggle with.

Trees, hedges and planting around the site.
Wires, railings and fences.
Glazed facades, windows and other reflective surfaces.
Fly your usual mapping mission. The splat is trained from the same photos, so there is no extra flight or hardware.
Upload the images to your site in Aeroyantra, the same way as for any drone survey.
When you start processing, pick Standard RGB or High-Density Ultra and turn on Generate Gaussian Splat, with or without the 3D textured model.
Once the splat is ready, switch on the Gaussian Splat view on the survey map, next to the orthomosaic, terrain and 3D model.
The splat opens in the Aeroyantra web viewer, alongside the outputs from the same survey.
The splat sits on the same map as the orthomosaic, terrain, 3D model and annotations, as a view you switch on and off.
It is streamed as OGC 3D Tiles (KHR_gaussian_splatting with SPZ compression) and opens in the browser, with nothing to install.
Measurements are taken on the 3D model, point cloud and DSM. The splat is for seeing the site, not for measuring it.
Show owners, clients and approvers the site in a view they recognise at a glance.
Present the latest flight as a photoreal 3D scene instead of a folder of photos.
Keep a photoreal 3D record of monuments, facades and built assets as they stand.
Look around the site from the office, in the browser, without travelling to it.
From the same credits as the rest of the survey. 1 Aero Credit = 1 gigapixel processed (images x megapixels / 1,000; images above 30 MP are billed as 30 MP), and the processing mode and 3D outputs set the multiplier.
Minimum 4 credits per processing job. Credits are worked out to 2 decimals.
| Order | Multiplier | Credits | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard RGB with a Gaussian splat | 1.5x | 12 | $30 |
| Standard RGB with a Gaussian splat and a 3D textured model | 2x | 16 | $40 |
| High-Density Ultra with the splat in place of the 3D model | 2x | 16 | $40 |
| High-Density Ultra with a Gaussian splat and a 3D textured model | 2.5x | 20 | $50 |
US dollars at $2.50 per credit, before bulk-pack or plan discounts.

In Aeroyantra, a Gaussian splat is a photoreal 3D capture of your site, trained from the same drone photos as the photogrammetry job.
No. Aeroyantra trains the splat from the same drone photos as the photogrammetry job, so it needs no extra flight and no extra hardware.
Aeroyantra charges the splat as a multiplier on base credits, where 1 credit is 1 gigapixel processed. Standard RGB is 1x, 1.5x with a Gaussian splat, and 2x with a splat and a 3D textured model. High-Density Ultra is 2x with the 3D textured model included; swap the 3D model for a splat at the same 2x, or get both for 2.5x. Every processing job costs at least 4 credits. For example, 400 photos at 20 MP in Standard RGB with a splat is 12 credits, $30 at $2.50 per credit before bulk-pack or plan discounts.
No. In Aeroyantra, measurements are taken on the 3D model, the point cloud and the DSM, not on the splat. Use the splat to see the site and the other survey outputs to measure it.
Aeroyantra offers the Gaussian splat with Standard RGB and High-Density Ultra processing. Thermal and multispectral processing build neither a splat nor a 3D model.
In the browser. Aeroyantra streams the splat as OGC 3D Tiles (KHR_gaussian_splatting with SPZ compression) to its web viewer, where it is a view you switch on, on the same map as the orthomosaic, terrain, 3D model and annotations.
In Aeroyantra the 3D textured model is the one to measure on, with the point cloud and DSM. The Gaussian splat is the photoreal view, and it shows vegetation, thin structures such as wires, railings and fences, and glass or reflective surfaces that textured meshes struggle with. If you need both, order both: 2x in Standard RGB, 2.5x in High-Density Ultra.
